Part 2 of the summer catch up series! June also so Drew's birthday party which he celebrated together with Nick Eury with a sleepover pool party at Nick's house. They had a good crowd and slept overnight in tents. Baseball season was in full swing in May and June also with all three kids playing baseball with the Laurinburg Optimist Club organization. Kinsey was in her second year playing in the tee-ball league. Cole was in his second year in the 7-8 year old league and Drew was in his second year in the 9-10 year old league. Drew and Cole were both selected to their respective all star teams as one of the top 12 players in their league. Cole's team advanced to the NC state tournament where they went 1-3 and were knocked out of the tournament. Drew's team is still playing. They lost in the state championship game to the same team for the fourth year in a row. They will be playing this week in the southeast regional which is a tournament for the state champions for the 8 southeastern US states. Laurinburg was invited to the tournament to fill out the field as they need one more team. If they win this tournament they will advance to the Cal Ripken World Series and play teams from all over the US. Drew is currently at Boy Scout camp about 3 hours away from home. Dan is going to pick him up from there on Thursday so that he can make it to his baseball tournament. No rest for the weary! On to the pictures.
